Asia’s Best Employer: Leofoo Recognized with Dual International Awards

“Hi Team” for Employees with Hearing Impairments: Creating a New Blue Ocean for Stable and Professional Housekeeping Teams

In response to labor shortages in the hospitality industry, Courtyard Taipei, under Leofoo Development Group, launched the “Hi Team” initiative in 2022, establishing a housekeeping team centered on employees with hearing impairments. This innovative program serves as a strategic approach to promoting workplace diversity and inclusion while strengthening workforce stability.

The Hi Team (Hearing Impairment Team) supports employees through job redesign and structured, supportive training, enabling colleagues with hearing impairments to work with confidence and professionalism. The initiative has successfully cultivated a service team characterized by both operational stability and high professional standards, opening new pathways for inclusive employment in the hospitality sector.

Intergenerational Collaboration Strategy: Unlocking Cross-Generational Value

Leofoo is dedicated to creating a long-term and sustainable work environment for middle-aged and senior employees. Through flexible working hour arrangements, employees are able to adjust schedules and attendance patterns according to their personal and family needs, enhancing work–life integration.

In daily operations, Leofoo implements job decomposition and workflow optimization to appropriately adjust physical workload and work routes, allowing senior employees to remain productive while working with greater comfort and confidence. The Group has also introduced smart technology tools, such as service robots in food and beverage operations, effectively reducing physical demands and enabling employees to focus more on service interaction and customer relationship building.

These experienced employees, deeply familiar with the corporate culture, have become indispensable members of Leofoo. Beyond serving as a stable workforce foundation, their collaboration with younger generations fosters knowledge transfer, mutual learning, and intergenerational cohesion, cultivating a workplace culture rich in warmth, trust, and shared commitment.

Gender Equality and Female Leadership: Building an Equitable Career Environment

Women account for over 50% of Leofoo’s total workforce, reflecting a well-balanced talent structure. Female leadership is particularly strong at the management level, with women representing more than 50% of mid- and senior-level management positions.

In governance, 43% of board directors are women, exceeding the Company’s target of having women occupy more than 33% of board seats. This ratio is also significantly higher than industry peers and overall market averages, demonstrating Leofoo’s tangible and sustained achievements in advancing gender equality and female leadership development.
