Collaborate with the government to promote local wildlife medical education
Since 2010, Leofoo Village has been designated as the "Hsinchu County Wildlife Rescue Center Leofoo Station," providing emergency rescue and medical services for wildlife in townships and surrounding communities. Each year, it rescues approximately 80 to 100 native wild animals, including species such as pangolins and collared scops owls. The rescue center is not only equipped with comprehensive facilities capable of caring for a variety of, even large, wild animals but also integrates rescue medical care, scientific research, and species conservation and rehabilitation. From emergency medical treatment, nurturing care, and shelter placement to release back into the wild, the process enhances the success rate of treatment and the likelihood of returning animals to their natural habitats, contributing significantly to ecological conservation in Taiwan.
