Carbon Emissions Management

To systematically implement climate action, Leofoo Development has established a comprehensive GHG monitoring and management mechanism. This framework encompasses core strategies such as carbon footprint verification, resource control, and energy-saving initiatives. To ensure high-level oversight and strategic support, GHG management results are reported to the Board of Directors on a quarterly basis.

Furthermore, we have established "Green Teams" in Taipei and Hsinchu, dedicated to formulating carbon reduction targets and management policies. With a benchmark of a 1% annual reduction, these teams drive concrete decarbonization efforts across all operating sites, covering energy, water resources, waste management, and procurement.

Starting in 2024, we have followed the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard for GHG inventory, using the operational control approach to define organizational boundaries. The 2024 inventory scope focuses on Category 1 and Category 2 emissions, with plans to gradually incorporate Categories 3 through 6 in the future.

In our "Satoyama Village" (Leofoo Qian-Shan Settlement), we utilize vermicomposting and organic waste decomposers to recycle and repurpose animal waste, fallen leaves, and raw food scraps. To date, we have successfully processed 443 tons of animal waste and landscaping debris, along with 48.6 tons of raw food waste. These efforts have reduced carbon emissions by approximately 234 tons, demonstrating our commitment to circular economy principles and sustainable waste management.
