2026 Leofoo Sustainable Award – Call for Entries
1. Vision and Objectives
Respond to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—specifically SDG 15.5 (Protecting biodiversity and natural habitats) and SDG 15.7 (Eliminating poaching and illegal trafficking of protected species)—this award is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of global change-makers and extending Taiwan's influence to the international stage.
For the first time, we are connecting Leofoo’s international sister parks to promote sustainability worldwide. By encouraging diverse themes and creative media, we aim to inspire innovative thinking in the youth, helping them understand and practice conservation while fostering a vision of coexistence between humanity and nature.
2. Organizers: Leofoo Tourism Group x Chaung Foo Foundation
3. Eligibility
The competition is open to domestic and international participants under the age of 16 (inclusive), including junior high, elementary, and preschool students (aged 3 to 5).
4. Competition Categories
(1) Theme:
a.Terrestrial Animals: White rhinocero, Bengal Tiger, Sulcata Tortoise (Select one)
b.Aquatic Species: Whale, Dolphin, Salamander (Select one)
c.Insects: Papilio, Unicorn beetle, Bee (Select one)
d.Plants: Orchid, Monachosorum Henryi Christ, Giant Old Tree (Select one)
(2) Competition Categories
The selection process consists of two stages:
(1) Preliminary Round
Finalists will be selected based on the completeness of the submitted works and documentation in accordance with the criteria.
(2) Final Round
The judging panel will review and determine the award winners for each category.
(3) Criteria
Video Groups:
(1) For each category, the top three participants will be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd titles. Additionally, a Potential Award will be selected from the works that pass the preliminary round. The following certificates and prizes will be provided as encouragement:
The number of awards is based on the aforementioned quotas. However, during the final round, the judging panel reserves the right to adjust the number of winners based on the quality of the entries. This means certain awards may remain vacant (unawarded) or be redistributed at the judges' discretion.
Depending on the overall performance of the entries, the judging panel may select Potential Award winners from any submission that did not place in the top three (including those not initially selected for the final round). This award is not restricted by category.
9. Participation and Award Rights
(1) Eligibility & Submissions: Relatives of the judges or organizers are ineligible to participate. Participants must retain their own copies of their works; the organizers will not return copies of submitted works for any reason.
(2) Award Ceremony: The award ceremony is scheduled for early June 2026 (time and venue to be announced). The list of winners and their works will be published on the official event website and may be featured in other media channels.
(3) Licensing & Moral Rights: Participants understand and agree that upon the announcement of awards, the winning works are licensed to the organizers for promotional and operational use free of charge. Participants agree not to exercise their moral rights against the organizers or their authorized personnel. Winners must sign a Letter of Consent for Authorization (Download) and comply with its terms. Failure to comply will result in disqualification without objection.
(4) Originality & Infringement: Submissions must not involve plagiarism, reproduction, impersonation, or infringement of any third-party legal rights. If a video is found not to be filmed by the participant/team, or if the winning work has been licensed to other entities, the participant will be disqualified without objection.
(5) Publication History & Content: Works must align with the theme and must not have been publicly published, awarded in other competitions, or posted on blogs, personal websites, Facebook, or other social media. Content must not violate public order or good morals.
(6) Information Accuracy: The organizers shall not be held responsible for notification delays due to incorrect information provided by the winner, or for any delays, misdeliveries, or losses of prizes during shipping. Winners shall not make any further claims or requests against the organizers.
(7) Disqualification & Replacement: If a winner’s eligibility is revoked for any reason, the organizers reserve the right to decide whether to award a runner-up. No objections from participants will be accepted.
(8) Amendments to Regulations: The organizers reserve the right to modify these regulations (including but not limited to submission guidelines and judging procedures) at any time. Updates will be posted on the official website without individual notice. Participation constitutes agreement to all rules. The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who refuses to comply.
(9) Issuance of Trophies and Certificates:
Trophies/Certificates will be issued based on the information provided during online registration. Please ensure all data is accurate.
Corrections: No substitution or addition of team members is allowed after submission. For typo corrections in names due to exceptional circumstances, the school must issue an official document (letter) providing proof.
Distribution: Trophies and certificates for the top three places will be presented at the ceremony. Potential Awards and prizes for those unable to attend will be mailed after the ceremony.
(10) Official Leave: To encourage attendance at the ceremony, the organizers will issue official letters to schools requesting official leave (duty-off) for participants listed as finalists.

10. Final Authority
In the event of any amendments to the above regulations, the announcements on the organizers' official website shall prevail.

- Drawing: Preschool (3-5 years old)
- Long Video:
- Duration: 3 minutes (±30 seconds); Orientation: Landscape (Horizontal).
- Content: A self-recorded introduction of the selected species. All participants must appear on camera. Any performance style is welcome.
- Group Application: Multiple participants are allowed. The group category is determined by the grade of the oldest member.
- Short Video:
- Duration: 1 minute (±30 seconds); Orientation: Portrait (Vertical).
- Content: All participants must appear on camera. Any performance style is welcome.
- Resolution: Minimum 1920 × 1080 (Long) or 1080 × 1920 (Short Video).
- Subtitles: Chinese or English subtitles preferred. Scripts must be retained and submitted upon request for finalists.
- Platform: Upload to YouTube (list Unlisted) and provide the link in the application form.
- File Name/Title: Must follow the format: [Category]_[Selected Specie(s)].
- Finalists: Must provide the original video file upon request. (AVI, MOV, MPG, WMV, or MP4).
- Drawing (Preschool):
- Style: Unrestricted; multimedia allowed.
- Format: Digital upload (JPG, JPEG, or PNG); Recommended 300 dpi; File size maximum: 10 MB.
- Finalists: Must submit the original physical artwork.

- Authorization: Finalists must submit a signed Authorization Agreement. Failure to do so results in disqualification. For group entries, every member must sign an individual form.
