A First in Tourism Industry History: Leofoo Wins PATA Gold Award, Showcasing a Global Benchmark in Diversity, Inclusion, and a Happy Workplace
Leofoo Tourism Group (TWSE: 2705) continues to advance diversity, inclusion, and a people-centered workplace culture. Following its recognition at the 2025 Asian Employer Branding Awards, where it received two major honors, Leofoo has once again stepped onto the international stage—this time winning the PATA Gold Award – Best Human Capital Development Program.
Leofoo is the only tourism enterprise in Taiwan’s history to receive this prestigious award and has now won the PATA Gold Award for the second time, marking a significant milestone for Taiwan’s tourism industry.
Previously, Leofoo pioneered Taiwan’s first-of-its-kind “Active Aging Travel Program,” breaking traditional age boundaries and promoting local community co-creation. The initiative connected nine cross-industry sectors, including travel, transportation, arts and culture, and healthcare, to build a comprehensive senior tourism ecosystem. By introducing the roles of Travel Planners and Dream Fulfillment Concierges, Leofoo enhanced the quality of life for senior travelers while also providing much-needed respite for caregivers.
This innovative approach earned Leofoo its first PATA Gold Award in Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility. Building on that success, the Group has now been recognized once again for its forward-looking talent strategies, which actively promote intergenerational inclusion, female leadership, a deaf-friendly workplace, and the integration of diverse talent, setting a new chapter in Taiwan’s tourism history.
Building a People-Centric, Inclusive Workplace
Mr. Samuel Su (蘇哲民), Chief Human Resources Officer of Leofoo Tourism Group, shared that in recent years Leofoo has made significant investments in intergenerational collaboration, female leadership development, deaf-friendly workplace initiatives, and cross-cultural support. The Group has also introduced digital communication platforms to ensure timely responses to employee needs while safeguarding privacy.
In addition, Leofoo implemented a company-wide salary increase, benefiting over 97% of employees. From November 2024 to the present, employees have received an average of approximately two months’ worth of bonuses, with top performers receiving nearly four months. Leofoo has further launched employee stock ownership trusts and comprehensive talent development programs, with annual human resource investment exceeding NT$100 million, underscoring its commitment to shared growth and prosperity with employees.
